Surrealism.
I'm still trying to digest the fact that I actually managed to somehow garner acceptance to UoA what with my less than stellar A-Levels results (let's all recall that D I got for Law and cue applause).
Despite not getting the course I originally applied for (Bachelors of Music; Major in Popular Music) due to my "lack of technical skills and fluidity whilst playing" as they've so subtly put it, I at least get to do my second love in life.
That's right, people. Guess who's an English major?
I can't wait to start devouring all those literary masterpieces. I can't wait to be able to scrutinize a piece of poetry and be able to understand the inspiration behind it. I can't wait to place everything I read under a microscope and be completely astounded by that certain piece of work.
Here's me hoping that being a Literature student, will help me understand Haruki Murakami's abstract works, which I only started reading recently, because I sure as hell can't understand the messages behind it despite him being able to write so beautifully.
Clearly, my brain is unable to comprehend complex information after having been stagnant for the past 8 months.
This is going to be good. :3
